Ava: Mommy, can I do ballet when my hair grows back?
Me: Of course! You don't even have to wait for your hair to grow back.
Ava: But I want to look nice for the class and I don't want people making fun of me again.
Me: If anyone says anything about your hair, you can tell them how brave you were to beat cancer.
Ava: Mommy, that's bragging. I don't think that's nice.
If anyone deserves to brag, it's you Ava. But you were always a better person than me.
